After sitting at a desk for 8+hours a day, the last thing I want to do is stay indoors on a beautiful day. Lucky for us Bostonians, the Beantown outdoor fitness scene from June-September is robust with workout options for everyone. Whether you like yoga, HIIT, barre, Crossfit or Zumba – the Boston summer scene has a FREE workout for you! Lace up your trainers, grab a friend and head to one of these scheduled events under the sun.

Free Boston Summer Workouts

Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series: 

Providing summer workouts at parks all over Boston, the Boston Public Health Commission, Boston Parks and Recreation, and Blue Cross Blue Shield have teamed up to offer a variety of classes where you can get your sweat on. Some of their offerings include: Afro-Caribbean, HIIT bootcamp, Tai-Chi, and Yoga.

FIT on the Garden: 

The Prudential Center and Under Armour are prepared to bring you top-notch instructors and classes from around the city every Wednesday night from 6-7pm. Head on over to the Prudential South Garden to check out yoga, Flybarre, Kick It by Eliza, and more.

Seaport Sweat: 

In its third year, Seaport Sweat is back and offering you over 200 varied classes throughout the summer. If you’re looking to try some of the workouts from Boston boutique studios/programs, Seaport Sweat is the way to go. Booty by Brabants, Kick It by Eliza, and Gronk Fitness are a few on the schedule.

Healthy, Fit, and Fun at the Esplanade: 

With the support of Blue Cross Blue Shield MA, Polar, Healthworks and Boston Fit Body Bootcamp, the Esplanade Association holds events all summer long where you can workout, meet new friends and have a blast. Zumba, sunset yoga, run club via Marathon Sports and bootcamp are held throughout the week for people of all ages and abilities.

Free Summer Yoga at the Frog Pond: 

Heading into summer Fridays with some zen never felt so good! Every Thursday evening from 6-7:15pm, take your practice outside with fellow yogis. Starting June 7th, head near the Frog Pond Carousel and don’t forget to bring your own mat!

The Street Summertime Sweat Series: 

The Street SSS is back with tons of great free fitness for everyone. Workouts led by Barry’s Bootcamp, Btone, Healthworks, and Project Freerun (to name a few) will have you working up a sweat in no time.
