Our Top Standards of Safety

We have sourced advanced hospital–grade cleaners, disinfectants and equipment and train our teams in the proper usage.

All team members will continually clean and disinfect while in the club. All high touch areas will be disinfected hourly and every surface in the club will be disinfected twice daily.

All disinfecting products are medical–grade and are shown effective in EPA listings related to COVID and other viruses. We will also be rolling out electrostatic back-pack sprayers. An electrostatically charged mist allows us to completely and safely reach all surfaces, including many-shaped objects and hard to reach locations with hospital-grade disinfectant.

We have designed our gym schedule and hours of operation to allow for transition time between reservation blocks and closure time so thorough cleaning can occur. 

We ask that all members disinfect equipment after each use. Staff will be available to help and educate members on proper disinfection. We are also providing extra sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer.

All staff have completed our enhanced staff training to ensure they understand the cleaning expectations and have knowledge around all products used in our clubs. 

We have replaced standard hand dryers with paper towel stations in all available bathrooms. 

Our team will be disinfecting all Group Fitness Equipment between each class to ensure the safest possible class. To facilitate this, we will be requiring all members to sign up for classes in advance and will be scheduling a minimum 30-minute gap between classes.

We have sourced a large quantity of 70% and 80% Ethyl Alcohol hand sanitizer above and beyond the CDC’s guidelines of 60%. We will also have touchless dispensers everywhere in the club. Members and Staff will be required to use it when entering the club and are encouraged to use it regularly.

Members are asked to disinfect equipment before and after each use with our supplied disinfectant wipes. Our wipes are EPA approved and a proven “one step” disinfectant cleaner which is effective in the presence of 5% serum contamination.

We reopen with normal operations on Monday, February 1!

We are asking all members to maintain a 6-foot distance while exercising between themselves and others, as well as in all common areas. Republic Fitness has implemented procedures to help ensure these distancing guidelines are respected including visual reminders, area closures, and staff to monitor and enforce these rules.  

As of Monday, December 14, showers will reopen at Republic Fitness per the State’s updated Phase 3 Step 1 guidelines.

To allow for safe, physical distancing, some showers will be closed ensuring that everyone is 6 feet apart. Available and unavailable showers will be clearly marked. Masks must be worn at all times in our clubs and can only be removed when showering.

Bath towels will only be available for members who are showering and we will have limited, designated areas for clean and used towels.

Our team will be disinfecting our showers and wet area multiple times throughout the day and we’ve also replaced all shower products.

Additional hand sanitizers will be placed in the wet areas and small spray bottles of Airx will be available for members looking to disinfect their shower stalls before and after use.

Yes! Assisted Stretching is back!

Our trainers have returned to the club while continuing to offer remote, mobile and outdoor options for clients. Members are welcome to visit the club and work with their trainer remotely, in addition. If you have questions about Personal Training options, please email [email protected].

Yes, members and staff must wear a mask in the club at all times. 

Yes, we are following the state’s guidelines and limiting the number of people in at any given time and have the clubs set up to ensure 6 feet of safe, physical distancing for everyone.

All Gym Time reservation spots are 60 minutes in length and run every hour on the hour. They can be booked in advance or via walk in. We will not be closing the club between blocks. You can now reserve back to back 60 minute spots without leaving the club in between.

Reservations are encouraged but you are also welcomed to walk in and signup at the front desk assuming spots are available.

For Class reservations, you may arrive 15 minutes before the class. Please leave promptly after the class ends.

Yes, you may book back-to-back Gym Time and/or class spots.

We are excited to introduce our new and improved member app to streamline the reservation process and allow easier access HWX Virtual classes. This is the quickest and easiest way to reserve a workout slot at our clubs. The reservation window for your spot begins 49 hours in advance. Be sure to reserve ahead of time, and cancel as soon as possible if something arises. 

Effective October 5, we will be charging a $5 no-show for HWX Outdoor Classes, and starting October 19, we will be doing the same for all in-club classes as space is limited.

Yes! We will close and completely clean and disinfect the club early each afternoon at 1PM. 

To start, the 2PM time slot (first after cleaning ) of Gym Time will be reserved for members who are considered high risk.

Please book Gym Time-Cardio High Risk or Gym Time- Cardio and Strength High Risk. Classes are separate and are not catered to a high risk population.

Yes! We have updated many aspects of the club experience. In addition to closed areas, you may experience a change with member check in and club traffic. We have also closed our club water fountains as proper disinfection between use is challenging. We encourage all members to bring their own full water bottles and sweat towels.

Our HWX Outdoor Classes are open to everyone, regardless of your membership, but on hold until they resume in the spring.

• Free and available to ALL active full club members (Republic and Healthworks), regardless of your home club
• For Virtual/Support Members: $18 per class or $65 for a 5-pack
• For Guest and $0 Freeze Members: $20 per class or $90 for a 5-pack

Classes range from 15-55 minutes. Class times are marked in the schedule.

YES! We will continue to offer virtual classes for those that are not able to visit our clubs and have no plans to change this.

Our team will set up for each class and completely disinfect all equipment in the main studio after each class.   In our cycling studio, we ask that all members disinfect equipment after each use using gym wipes. Staff will be available to help and educate members on proper disinfection. We also have time in between each class to allow for a thorough cleaning.

Class capacity will be limited to ensure appropriate physical distancing. We ask each member to stay in their designated workout area during each class.

To ensure availability for others, we ask that you cancel your class bookings the same way you enrolled, either in the App or online in the schedule.

Starting October 5, if you no-show to an HWX Outdoor Class, you will be charged a $5 fee.

Starting October 19, if you no-show for an in-club class, you will be charged a $5 fee.

All fans in the club and group fitness studios will be disconnected. Please do not reconnect them or attempt to turn them on.

For all indoor classes, masks must be worn. In some cases and when an instructor can be more than 10 feet away, they may wear a face shield instead of a mask.

Masks are optional for all HWX Outdoor Classes, but must be worn unless you are in your designated workout space.

Please reach out to your trainer directly to book your personal training sessions. If you are interested in working with a trainer but are not sure which trainer is the best fit, please email us at [email protected] and will have someone contact you to schedule a session. 

Physical distancing is important to keep all of us safe during the session. Your session will be reserved to one location in the club, the trainer will be standing outside of your strength training box for the duration on the workout coaching you from 6 feet away. They will provide you with instructions for all exercises verbally and may demonstrate when necessary. They will assist you in getting any equipment needed for your workout and instruct you on when and how to wipe it down to aid with disinfecting. 

We know you have missed seeing your trainer but ask that you show them your excitement through the workout instead of physical contact. 

We understand that not all clients or trainers are ready to come back and train in our clubs. We are giving trainers the option to continue to train their clients remotely or outdoors at this time. Please communicate with your trainer on this.

Some of you may want to diversify or intensify your workout using equipment we have in the club. If you would like to visit our club and perform your remote training session here, please do the following: 

• Communicate with your trainer that you will be visiting the club for the session. We have limited tripods available for members to use with their phone to conduct the virtual session. Please see the fitness staff on duty for a tripod or bring your own to be sure you have one! If you want to be sure there is a tripod available, please email Lindsey Cambridge
• Reserve a Gym-Time Strength session that coincides with your session time. If no Gym-Time Strength reservation coincides with your session time, this option will not be available to you at this time. 
• Once Gym-Time Strength is reserved, arrive in your mask and head to an available strength box with the tripod provided. 
• Begin a Skype/Zoom/FaceTime session using your phone and enjoy your workout! 

For in-club personal trainer sessions (client and trainer both present in the club), you do not need to reserve a Gym Time spot. The session your trainer booked will be your reservation to the club.

2 PM is reserved for high risk clients. We close our club at 1PM for a full disinfect with electrostatic sprayers. 7 AM also follows a thorough disinfect with electrostatic sprayers, but is generally a busier reservation block in the club, so we expect more people in the facility at that time. 

We ask that members wipe down equipment before and after use with equipment wipes.  Your trainer will also be disinfecting your strength training box before and after each session.  

Member billing has resumed and anyone not comfortable in returning to the clubs at this time has been given the option to extend your $0 freeze or switch to a Virtual or Support Membership. Without our members, there is no us and we are so appreciative of everyone who has opted to resume billing.
